Leaders - Using ICT
Undoubtedly the use of Information and Communications Technology can support learning across the curriculum. Here teachers are discussing the benefits of ICT to language learning. They focus on the contribution that ICT can make to motivation, teaching and learning and to intercultural understanding. They also put forward the benefits in making resources that can be stored and shared.
Using ICT
ICT is now part and parcel of the primary classroom. Most schools have interactive whiteboards and, indeed, in some schools there is a whiteboard in every teaching area. Primary schools have strong links to their local authority, and are linked by a network. This has interesting possibilities for retrieving, sharing and adapting files. Primary class teachers have noticed the power of ICT to engage children and to help them sustain high levels of concentration.
