In managing the Early Language Learning initiative from 1999
onwards, CILT, the National Centre for Languages has worked in
partnership with key agencies: Association for Language
Learning (ALL), Becta, British Council,
Department for Children, Schools and
Families (DCSF), The Languages Company,
Links into
Languages, Qualifications and
Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA), Specialist Schools and
Academies Trust (SSAT) and Training and Development Agency for
schools (TDA).
The institutions forming CILT UK work in close association with
a number of national partners to help build language capability in
