The "Training the Trainers" programme was re-modelled for delivery directly through Local Authorities and in 2009/10 CILT offered to work with the primary languages consultant in every Authority.

We aimed to tailor our support to each Authority's particular primary languages strategy.

We offered every Authority:

• £1000 grant towards a TTT-related activity
• A CILT Language Teaching Adviser (LTA) to work with you to support this activity (1.5 days)

Overall, CILT managed to work with 120 separate Local Authorities.
