Pam presented the findings of this recent
Ofsted report, providing insights into the progress made
in primary languages and the challenges that remain in
consolidating provision and ensuring continuity in languages

Accreditation (Joe Brown, Language Teaching Adviser, CILT and Kim

Joe presented an update on a new partnership CILT is exploring
with the Institute of Education which would enable colleagues to
gain formal accreditation from the Institute through a self-study

primary languages

Languages and literacy – impact on motivation (Elaine
Minett, West Sussex Local Authority)
Presentation of
a project linking languages teaching in West Sussex with approaches
to teaching literacy, exploring the impact of the work
on developing pedagogy and raising children's esteem.
