Group visits and advice

Group visits

Group visits to the CILT LibraryGroups of ten or more primary teachers and trainees can arrange free information sessions and library tours. We welcome groups with a whole range of primary languages experience from those just starting out to lead teachers and ASTs.

What does the visit involve?

  • presentation and guided tour from a member of the Information team - your chance to discuss, ask questions and explore resources.
  • A short workshop led by one of CILT’s Primary Teaching Advisers, focusing on developing skills to evaluate and choose the most suitable resources.

When can I come?

The library is open 10:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday (including school holidays). However, we will happily arrange late afternoon and evening visits to accommodate groups visiting after school.

If you are a Local Authority adviser or ITE primary languages tutor booking on behalf of a group of teachers or trainees, you can choose whether to accompany the group yourself.
