
Would you like to develop your language
skills as well as benefit from spending a week in a primary school
abroad? If so, then the new Primary Teachers’ Project is for
you.
This exciting project involves spending
two consecutive weeks in France, Germany or Spain.
The first week of the project is devoted to intensive language and
methodology training, while the second is spent work shadowing in a
primary school.
Dates and locations
Projects will take place during the following dates in the
following locations. Please note that the first and last days are
travelling days.
February 2011:
- Germany (Düsseldorf)
21st February - 4th March
- France (Annecy, Haute Savoie)
17th February - 1st March
- France (Rennes, Brittany)
17th February - 1st March
April 2011:
- Spain (Tordesillas)
17th - 29th April
- France (Lille/ Cambrai,
Nord-Pas-de-Calais)
3rd - 16th April
- France (Chambéry, Savoie)
3rd - 16th April
Application
Funding assistance.
EU Comenius funding of up to 2,500
Euros is available to cover travel and subsistence.
A contribution of £525
towards supply cover for the week of term time involved is
available.

The draft programme for the first week of
language preparation is as follows:
Sunday:

Monday – Friday:
9.30-11.00: Language session 1
11.00-11.30: Break
11.30-13.00: Language session 2
13.00-14.00: Lunch
14.00-16.00: Methodology session
16.00 onwards: Free time
Saturday/Sunday:
Time with host families
