Lauren Meadows, Primary Languages Key
Practitioner for Suffolk
Wow. What an experience. As a CILT Primary
Languages Show newcomer, I really didn’t know what to expect, but
whatever expectations I did have were totally and utterly
surpassed. The show was a whirlwind of inspiration, ideas,
enthusiasm and opportunities from beginning to end. It was so
exciting to be surrounded by such a wealth of knowledge and
passion, and such a joy to share experiences with people who
understand the challenges and pleasures that we face in developing
primary languages provision in schools.
The venue was amazing, and the atmosphere
electric. Everywhere you turned there was something exciting to
see, or someone interesting to talk to. Having the opportunity to
find out that there were so many other people attempting similar
projects to my own was fantastic.
The show was a great networking opportunity, and really
fuelled my desire to continue to work at raising the profile and
quality of Primary Languages provision as widely as possible. The
workshops were packed full of great practical ideas to use in the
classroom, and really useful guidance on developing languages
across a school, or local area. It was an amazing opportunity from
start to finish and I just can’t wait until next year!
