About the primary languages forum

The primary languages forum is an email discussion list for primary teachers and leaders and anyone with an interest in primary languages. It is a place for discussion, peer support and sharing ideas and information. The forum focuses on primary languages in the UK but welcomes contributions from the international community.

What is an email discussion list?

Email discussion lists enable a community of registered users to send and receive messages to eachother by email. The primary languages forum works using a system provided by Mailtalk, run by JISCmail, the National Academic Mailing List Service. Members of the primary languages forum use a nominated existing email account to compose and send a post to the forum. This post is distributed to registered primary languages forum members and appears in their email inboxes.

Discussion topics

All contributions related to primary languages teaching and learning are welcomed. Typical topics include using ICT, cross-curricular approaches, curriculum planning, feedback on useful resources, primary languages policy and staff development.

Posts sent to the primary languages forum are stored automatically and can be viewed online at the primary languages forum archives. You can also search the archives for previous relevant posts.
