Event booking now: eTwinning in primary
languages
Wednesday 3 February 2010 (5pm - 6pm,
registration from 4.30pm). FREE.
An introduction to eTwinning and the international dimension in
the primary classroom, exploring the key concepts involved in
working with an authentic audience in another country and the
cultural learning involved in this process.
The event will focus on the cross curricular opportunities that
eTwinning offers and how they can be used to support the
Intercultural Understanding strand of the Key Stage 2 Framework for
Languages.
Delegates will also be guided through the resources designed to
support Intercultural Understanding held in the CILT Library’s
NACELL collection for young learners with on-hand advice from
CILT’s Primary Language Teaching Advisers.

Partnerships
A new free web-based course from the British
Council, providing schools with an easy introduction to global
school partnerships.
The course aims to:
- Explore the global dimension's contribution to school
curriculum and ethos, and how a partnership can enhance this.
- Consider the practicalities of developing a partnership.
- Decide whether this kind of partnership is right for you and
your school.
