Due to the overwhelming popularity of ‘Talk to the hand
– using puppets in primary languages’, we are happy to
announce a re-run of the event in the CILT Library on
Wednesday 15 July.
We hope this will enable those who were unable to attend last
time to come along.
Programme: Stephen Novy of
Pekko’s Puppets will open the event by demonstrating the activities
that he offers to schools. He will also give a brief puppet show
performance. In the second part of the session, Lucy Adamson,
Primary Language Teaching Adviser at CILT, will show you how to
make a range of puppets from simple, accessible and affordable
materials.
You will then have the opportunity to make
these puppets yourself before Ruth Churchill, CILT’s information
Officer for Primary Languages, guides you through the NACELL
collection’s resources on puppets and related activities.
When: Wednesday 15 July 2009.
Refreshments from 4.30pm – the session will start at 5pm. The
library will close at 7pm.
How to book: This event is
free but places are limited. Register your place
by emailing ruth.churchill@cilt.org.uk
with your name and the subject ‘CILT Library puppets’.
