BBC launches save our sounds

The BBC World Service have launched a new project that aims to collect sounds from all over the world in an audio world map. You can take part Save Our Sounds by sending your own recordings of the sounds around you to the website, by email, by post or by using an iPhone.

So far contributions include fish sellers in Angola, traditional music and drumming in Marrakech and a bus terminal in La Paz. All these are free to listen to on the Save Our Sounds map.

You can find out more about the project and visit the map at the BBC World Service website.
