CILT, the National Centre for Languages is the Government’s recognised centre for expertise on languages, UK Sector Skills Body and Standard’s setting body for languages.

Our purpose is to promote language learning and language use among all sectors of the UK population and we want to see a society which is strong and confident in its use of other languages.

In fulfulling this role, we provide a wide range of media content, including a weekly news alert 'CNS weekly'.
